Tabi 3D engineered uppers are made of Tencel yarns. Saving 30% of waste material over traditional sneaker upper, since all the parts are woven and developed by machine to fit 100%. So close to zero % waste during the production line. Tabi are committed to ethical low impact production and high impact initiatives, balancing quality and longevity of product with responsibly sourcing materials.
Tabi uppers are made from Tencel fibers. The fibers originate from renewable raw materials such as wood or bamboo. The certified biobased fibers are manufactured using an environmentally responsible production process. The fibers are certified as compostable and biodegradable and thus can fully revert back to nature. Tabi outsoles are made from a sugar cane base developed into an EVA (Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate).
The big toe is essential for foot biomechanics, handling twice the pressure of the other toes and aiding in push-off during walking.
